
Hitachi has introduced its 42-inch 42HDS52 and 55-inch 55HDS52 UltraVision plasma display models, which incorporate high-tech features and plasma innovations to give a theater-like home viewing experience. The company’s VirtualHD™ 1080p II video processing function uses new histogram processing algorithms for a clearer and sharper display.
The company’s new plasma TVs also incorporate features and technologies such as the Alternate Lighting of Surfaces (ALiS) function, which produces a more detailed and brighter picture. Hitachi has also improved gas and phosphor formulation to maximize the product’s lifespan, while the separate Day and Night technology for each component enhances the viewing experience.
These plasma displays are part of Hitachi’s CineForm series, which boast of innovative and elegant designs. They incorporate the Ultra-Slim form factor with narrow side speakers and all black finish, and espouse an all-in-one design with ease of connectivity.
In addition, the power remote is user-friendly and ergonomic. The 42-inch model has a remote-controlled power swivel, while this feature is optional for the 55-inch model.
