LG Electronics Growing in Plasma TV and Other Market Sectors

RTO Online has posted a report about the growth of Korea-based LG Electronics in key sectors of the North American electronics market, including the plasma TV area. In fact, the company holds the second top spot in the United States plasma TV field since the fourth quarter of 2004 until June 2005.
According to Michael Ahn, CEO and president of the company’s North American operations, the “Life’s Good” motto has done wonders for LG’s bottom line by helping consumers identify with the company’s offerings and therefore patronizing their products. Ahn delivered his comments in a speech about the company’s performance in the first half of 2005. The speech was made at the LG “Life’s Good” summerline show, which was held aboard a private yacht.
LG Electronics are continuing to leverage their high definition television (HDTV) expertise in order to cater to the United States market, and it looks like the company’s efforts are not in vain. The manufacturer has been recognized by Businessweek magazine and is included in the Interbrand listing of the best and most powerful brand names.
Flat panel displays such as plasma TVs and liquid crystal display (LCD) TVs continue to enjoy an increase in sales because of improving technology and greater affordability. Additionally, world demand is projected to increase this year as well.
