Over the past year, LG Electronics has been showcasing its 102-inch plasma display panel (PDP) television in various exhibitions and trade shows. And that’s no wonder. If my company has the distinction of being the maker of the largest plasma television on earth, I’d give it as much exposure as I can. The latest stop for this plasma TV is the 2005 Korea Electronics Show, located on the home turf of this powerhouse company.
In an article published on the strategiy.com website, L.H. Kim, president of the company’s Middle East and Africa operations, notes that LG has the largest family of large-screen plasma TVs. In addition to the 102-inch model, other sets in the line include those with screens measuring 76, 71, and 60 inches. The 102-inch plasma TV boasts of giving a high-definition image with around 2.07 billion pixels. This plasma screen is big in size and in features. According to Kim, LG has developed high-speed signal treatment technology, in addition to proprietary picture treatment algorithm technology. Simply put – a much clearer picture than others in its class.
I wonder if the figure on the price tag of this 102-inch plasma television will be just as big as its screen size? Most probably!
