Plasma TV market leader Panasonic has introduced its 65-inch TH65PHD7WK model, the largest plasma display panel (PDP) that is commercially available to date. Although other PDP manufacturers have developed much larger models (Samsung for instance, with its 102-inch behemoth), they are not yet available for consumers to buy.
The Panasonic TH65PHD7WK plasma TV has an impressive 4000:1 contrast ratio and uses the company’s own New Real Black Drive System. This feature enhances the blacker than black aspect, thus leading to the greater contrast ratio. Contrast ratio is one of the things that Panasonic is known for and which has propelled the company to the top of plasma TV sales charts.
This Panasonic PDP is suitable for both residential and commercial use. It has three interchangeable slots that permit various combinations of terminal input boards. Other features include a dual picture mode and vertical mounting option. Also, the Panasonic TH65PHD7WK has screen saver functions, which will help reduce the risk of uneven phosphor aging.
This plasma TV doesn’t come cheap. But then, for its size, features and sheer viewing quality, who would expect it to be?
