Pioneer PureVision Plasma TVs for Pure Viewing Pleasure

Japanese electronics manufacturer Pioneer Corporation will introduce PureVision, a line of high-definition plasma TVs. These models will utilize a technology called P.U.R.E. 1 Black Panel. A welcome addition to the PDP field, the collection introduces a couple of great new features.

P.U.R.E. stands for Plasma Ultimate Reference Exclusive, and Pioneer says that this technology will produce blacker blacks, as well as show darker images in greater detail. The models in the PureVision line, the 50-inch PDP-506HD, the 43-inch PDP-436HD, and the 43-inch PDP-436SX will be launched in Japan sometime in September or October 2005.

Among the attractions of the Pioneer PureVision collection is, of course, its higher-quality picture and brighter colors that are more true-to-life. Noise reduction technologies will also enhance the viewing experience.

To address concerns about the high power consumption of flat panel displays, Pioneer utilizes several innovations that make the plasma TVs in the PureVision line the least power-hungry of all plasma screens to date in the market. I’m sure this will be welcome news to environmentally-minded technophiles all over the world.

More detailed information about the technical specifications and other features of the Pioneer PureVision plasma TV line is available from a press release on the company’s web site.
