Oh, to be famous and filthy rich. Or just to be filthy rich. One can get away with many things with just a snap of the fingers. It seems that the young Russian politician and business magnate, Roman Abramovich (who also owns the Chelsea Football Club) installed a plasma TV in the kitchen of his and his wife Irina’s mansion in West Sussex, England.
According to an article in the Huddersfield Daily Examiner, the Abramoviches tore down and rebuilt their kitchen a total of four times before they were finally satisfied with the results. In addition to the widescreen plasma TV, the kitchen is also fitted with marble flooring, a breakfast bar, and other electronic appliances.
I imagine it would be a joy to watch the regular cooking shows on a widescreen plasma TV in the kitchen and follow the making of a recipe in real time. Plus, having a plasma screen in the kitchen would really be convenient and it wouldn’t take up precious cooking space since you can hang it on the wall.
Mister Roman and Missus Irina must be having a blast in their kitchen, watching a football game while preparing dinner. That is, if they actually cook their own dinner. If they don’t, well — count the plasma TV as part of their cook’s job perks.
