Travel-weary business and leisure travelers who find themselves in the Windy City are in for a treat at the Omni Chicago Hotel on the Magnificent Mile in Chicago, Illinois. The hotel has earned the honor of being the first and only “all-suite, all-plasma TV” hotel in the area. As part of the hotel’s extensive renovation, there now hangs a 37-inch Panasonic plasma TV on a wall in each sitting room of the hotel’s 343 suites.
The details of the Omni Chicago’s remodeling scream “luxury ” at every turn. All the appointments of the rooms and other areas of the hotel are designed with the traveler’s utmost comfort in mind. As a four-diamond, upscale facility, nothing less can be expected of the hotel; and the plasma TV that guests can enjoy in each room are a nice addition to the icing on the hospitality industry cake.
A report in “Hotel Online” claims that notwithstanding all the ritzy in-room amenities added by the hotel, the plasma TV may be the “star attraction” for many guests. It seems that plasma TV’s have that certain cachet and are associated with the term “luxurious.” A number of other hotels also have in-room plasma and LCD (liquid crystal display) TV’s in their suites, but the Omni Chicago is the only one in the city able to boast of having that amenity in all of its rooms. Now that’s what I call excellent room service.
