LG MW-71PY10

In spite of having a screen measuring 71 inches (180.3 cm), the LG MW-71PY10 plasma display does not hold the title of largest plasma TV in the world. However, it does have the distinction of the largest plasma television that is commercially available as of May 2006. It was launched in the United States in April 2006.
It may be big, but it's thin and sleek, designed to add an elegant ambience to any room. The viewing experience is optimized via the high display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It's among the first of its kind to provide the full specification for high-definition. And like many of the newer offerings from LG, the MW-71PY10 is powered by the company's proprietary XD Engine, which works to elevate analog signals to levels that approximate high-definition. Hence, with improved brightness and clarity and sharper colors, watching programs or movies on this 71-inch LG plasma HDTV is comparable to watching something in the movie theater.
Features like the Flexible PIP/Split Screen and the abundance of connectivity options add to the convenience and user-friendliness of this plasma television, and protective measures like Image Sticking Minimization (ISM) prevents burn-in and to optimize its life span. The two-year limited warranty covering parts and labor is a welcome addition to an already satisfactory package.
