Pioneer PDP-436SXE
The Pioneer PDP-43SXE is one of several plasma televisions to hit the market in 2006. This 43-inch (109.2 cm) flat screen panel will be launched in Europe in June and is expected to cost around 3,000 euro. It's an HD-ready TV; the analogue tuner is supported by a DVB-T digital tuner and enables the reception of free-to-air digital terrestrial broadcasting. Other high-definition content sources are also accommodated by the HDMI interface.
Pioneer's proprietary technologies ensure clearer, more detailed and stunning pictures. A filter on the PUREBLACK panel maintains optimum contrast by repelling external light, so image quality is not degraded even in a brightly-lit room. PUREBLACK technology also enhances the ability of plasma cells to produce colors in breathtaking accuracy and deliver highly satisfying black levels. In addition, the PURE Drive 2HD digital video processing system further improves this Pioneer plasma TV's performance, providing a high resolution for a more enjoyable viewing experience.
Most of the needed connectivity options are present, except for a PC input. The design of the TV itself is exceptional, with the stereo speakers concealed beneath the screen. The set's deep black bezel and silver finishing gives it a truly elegant and tasteful look.
