One of the good things about the flat-panel televisions of today is that they not only free up a lot of space formerly occupied by large CRT (cathode ray tube) televisions, but they can be utilized as interior decoration accessories as well. Quite a few people find a plasma TV hanging on their living room wall to be an elegant sight. But if you want to accent your plasma TV on the wall and make it fit in better with the décor, framing it might be the answer.
Panasonic, the market leader in the plasma TV sector, will be releasing a line of frames especially for their 42- and 50-inch screens. To help the consumer decide on a frame that will blend in with the room’s theme, Panasonic has created a web site where people can choose from among various frames and set a certain frame against sample backdrops. The frames will be available in a variety of finishes, including gold, black, mahogany, and pewter. Frame prices begin at $399.95. This promotion is an inclusive package – you can’t buy just the frame or the plasma monitor, since both are part of the plasma masterpiece package.
It certainly seems to be a nice deal. There are other plasma TV frame providers, but most of their products are very steeply-priced. Panasonic’s framed plasmas provide much of the same functionality, come with full warranties, and look very good – at a fraction of the cost.
